Twin Nursery

Before ...

We got it painted!!

We bought two of these chairs for the room (the chair and pillow are both from IKEA).

The Continents (these will be hung on the wall behind the cribs).  Kara did all the artwork!  Amazing.

We bought the cribs!  We bought the Gulliver Crib from IKEA with the Vyssa Vinka mattress.

Here are some pictures of Kara hard at work putting together the cribs.

Kara also put up the painted pictures of the Continents yesterday.

And we officially have one side of the room finished.

Are any of the pictures upside down??

We also bought the HEMNES 3-drawer chest and LACK wall shelf unit from IKEA.  Can you tell we love IKEA?

Here are pictures of Kara putting together our dress (aka. changing table) and shelf unit.

Here are the finished products.

The dresser (aka. the changing table).

And the shelf unit.

So what does this mean??  The nursery is semi-finished.  All we have left to do is organize (and purchase) all the other stuff we need for our boys.  Here are some pictures of the room all put together.

Notice the clothes on the dresser.  We have gotten a few items.  They are just waiting to be washed and put away!

And Kara did the artwork above the dresser.  Nice!  It is the map of the United States.  It is hard to explain what she did exactly but it took a lot of time and it look amazing.

We just need some crib sheets!

A close-up of the shelf unit.

All together we were able to put together the nursery for less than $600 (this includes the price of the cribs which were actually a gift).  Not too shabby for a nursery on a budget.  It's now going to cost more to fill it up!!!
